Ronald Neal “Ron” Lancaster

Ronald Neal Lancaster, lovingly known as Ron or Ronnie, of Mansfield, Missouri, passed away on June 27, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 71.

Ron was born on June 7, 1954, in Fort Hood, Texas, to the late Bob and Betty Lancaster. In 1967, his family settled on a farm in the Owens community near Norwood, Missouri. He graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1972 and went on to build a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and devotion to those he loved.

After high school, Ron worked at Brown Shoe Factory before beginning a long and steady career. He went on to work for Burlington Northern Railroad, and later for Hutchens Industries for 35 years, from which he retired. Even in retirement, Ron stayed on the move, driving over-the-road trucks for IWX.

Ron had a lifelong passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved the freedom of the open road, riding alongside friends and loved ones to bike events and swap meets, especially the one in Davenport, Iowa. He participated in many Toys for Tots Christmas bike rides supporting The Salvation Army, combining his love of riding with a heart for giving. He was also a collector of bikes, vintage toys, Harley memorabilia, and other treasures, always drawn to the story behind each item.

Ron enjoyed listening to classic southern rock music, often with the volume up and a smile on his face. In recent years, he found peace and purpose in beekeeping, selling his local honey under the name Whetstone Valley Honey. He also enjoyed the company of his friends during “Tom Tuesdays” in Willard and was known for his loyalty, warmth, and easygoing spirit.

He cherished opportunities to reconnect with extended family, especially during the annual Souder family reunions in Texas, which he faithfully attended. He treasured time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and found joy in the simple moments shared with loved ones.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Wilma Lancaster of Mansfield; his brother Joel Lancaster and wife Tonya of Norwood; his sister Diane Adams of Rogersville; and his daughters Dulci Lancaster of Springfield, Nicki Evans and husband Josh of Norwood, and Brooke Dennis and husband Ben of Mansfield. He dearly loved his grandchildren — Kai, Karina, Alissa, Tosha, Blaine, and Brandon — and his great-grandchildren, Nova and Matthew. He also cherished time spent with his nieces and nephews.

Ron and Wilma attended God’s Grace Community Church in Macomb, Missouri, where they found fellowship and spiritual encouragement.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God’s Grace Community Church Building Fund.
