Ronald Orrie Larson was born in Eldora, Iowa on March 28, 1951, to Anna Mae and Arnold Larson. He passed away June 23, 2025, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Abels Funeral and Cremation Service, French Hand Chapel in Reinbeck.

He was extremely proud to have served in the US Marine Corp from 1970-74. Serving as an amphibious vehicle repairman in California and Okinawa. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the Reinbeck American Legion, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Ron worked many years with his father and brothers in the construction business, later going out on his own. He also worked at Brown Printing in Waseca, MN and NCS in Owatonna, Mn. Ron was very entrepreneurial and always had a sideline business going in his spare time. From flea markets to a food truck and selling framed art.

In 1983, he married Jeanie Jensen at the Little Brown Church. During their 41 years of married life, they lived in Reinbeck, Iowa, Latimer, Iowa, Hartland, Minnesota, and back to Reinbeck. Ron’s pride and joy were his daughter Abby and son Adam. And then his 7 grandchildren. He loved giving them golf cart rides and making a special game room, especially for them.

Ron had a great love for vintage cars and owned too many to name, but his pride and joy was his 57 Chevy Belair hardtop. Ron was also known for his hilarious humor. He brought so many smiles to so many with his play on words.

Ron was preceded in death by his son Chad, his parents Anna Mae and Arnie Larson, sister Shella Hazen, and brothers William Larson and Robert Larson.

He is survived by his wife Jeanie, daughter; Abby (Craig) Kolthoff, son; Adam (Ali) Larson, grandchildren; Ryder Hanna, Rustyn Hanna, Raelynn Kolthoff, Rylee Kolthoff, Ellie Larson, Isla Larson, and Charlie Larson. Brother; Larry (Cheryl) Larson and sister; Bonnie Larson. Many nieces and nephews.
