Ronald J. "Ronto" Lash Sr.

LASH, Ronald J. Sr., "Ronto" – of Clio, age 75, died on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at his home, with family by his side. The family will receive visitors at The O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday 1PM until 8PM. With a time of sharing at 6PM. Funeral services will begin with a viewing at 2PM Thursday, with services starting at 3PM December 15, 2022, at City Church – 218 S. Mill St., in Clio. Pastor Rick Marcus officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to City Church.
Ronto was born December 12, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to the late Theodore "Buck" and Margaret (Fisher) Lash. He graduated from Central High School in 1965. Ronto married the love of his life, Sheila Duty on December 17, 1965, in Flint. They would have celebrated 57 years together. He retired from General Motors in skilled trades in 2006 with 41 years of service. Ronto was a member of City Church in Clio (formerly First Baptist Church) for many years. He was an avid bowler, hunter, lottery player, and Facebook Marketplace shopper. He would find something everyday off Marketplace to buy and the family enjoyed many good laughs from some purchases. Ronto loved camping on his property in Prescott and the campground in Sterling. He was always happy and quite the jokester who could always make you laugh. He was a proud partner of Electric Chair Tattoo in Bay City with his son, Ronnie Lash Jr. Ronto's furry companions, dogs – Buster and Lola, and cat, Sassy, were his life. Above all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anything in the world and they are what kept him alive all these years.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Sheila "Squeaky" Lash; Children: Robbie (Lynette) Lash, Kimi (Frank) Everett, Kathi (John) Steele, and Ryan Lash (Joey Williams); Grandchildren: Joseph (Kim) Lash, Megan Lash (Fiancé Josh Gerstheheimer), Zakk (Kelly) Dekalita, Mandi (Tim) Brueck, Robbie Lash Jr. (Sarah Johnson), Alec Lash, Mary Charvat (Jeremiah), Makenna Charvat (Caleb), Malari Charvat (Austin), and Evan Lash-Everett (Kimberly); Step-grandchildren: Frank Everett, Bret Everett, and Kirsten Everett; Great grandchildren: Willow Lash, Charlie Lash, Jack Gerstheheimer, Kane Dinnan, Rowen Lash, Major Brueck, Lincoln Brueck, Arlow Lash, Harvey Lash, Ruby Gerstheheimer, Fiona Dekalita, Sully Dekalita, and Milo Dekalita; Brother, Ken Lash; Loving sister, Sharon Stanley; Sue Crawford(Rick), Kee Kee Roberts(Mike), Patty Hoxie(Sonny); Brother, Dennis Duty (Kathy); Special cousin, Danny Darling; Many other loving family members, lifelong friends, and dear work family. Ronto was also preceded in death by: Son, Ronnie Lash Jr., in 2004; Mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Rita Duty; Brother, Ted Lash; Danny Duty, Shirly Zayka, Joe Duty, John Duty, Debbie Perry and Steve Duty; Best friend and cousin, Stephen Darling.
