PLATTSBURGH-Ronald J. Lautenschuetz, 92, formerly of Rt. 3 Redford, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at CVPH Medical Center.

He was born on September 21, 1933 in Dannemora, the son of Henry and Theresa (Cayea) Lautenschuetz.

Ronald graduated from Sallaz Academy in Redford. He was a Veteran, serving in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, after being honorably discharged he became a welder with the Plumber and Steamfitters Union 773.

Ronald married Geraldine A. Myers in 1955 at the Church of Assumption in Redford. Together they enjoyed Ballroom and Round Dancing and belonged to the Melody Mixers in Montreal.

He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine, brothers, Gary, Roy and Roger Lautenschuetz.

Survivors include his sons, Lonnie (Cecilia) Lautenschuetz, Lance (Lisa) Lautenschuetz; brother Paul (Gail) Lautenschuetz; sisters Karen (David) Watson, Jean (Thomas) Pelkey; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 13th at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors.
