Ronald Alexander Lingus III passed away unexpectedly on June 30th, 2025 at the age of 46 in Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lingus Jr, mother in law, Barbara Couch and father In law Tensley Couch. His grandparents; Barbara Dixon, John Dixon Sr, Ronald Lingus Sr, & Jean Lingus. His uncle; John Dixon Jr. and His aunts; Ronda Knight & Cindy Rowland.
Ron is survived by his wife Sherry Lingus; his parents Rebecca & Charles Gordon; his children; Katelyn Lingus, Kayla Lingus, Courtney Leslie, Sidney Lingus, Katelyn Leslie, Kristopher Leslie, Ronald (Alex) Lingus IV, and Tensley Dylan Lingus; his grandchildren; De’Vion Lingus, Ky’Lynn Lingus, Aliana Grise, Amayah Ervin and Tiana Lingus-Adger; his brothers; Robert Lingus and Jesse Gordon; his special nephew; Owen Lingus and many other friends and family members.
Ron was born on February 2nd, 1979 to Rebecca Gordon & Ronald Lingus Jr. He attended Belmont High School in Dayton, OH and welcomed his daughters into the world in 1996,1998, and 2000, he then welcomed two boys into this world in 2009 and 2011. Ron married Sherry on October 31st, 2014 though they have been inseparable for 20 years. Ron’s favorite thing to do was spend time with all of his grandchildren, something he never took for granted. He will be remembered for his humor and ability to make a joke in any situation as well as his love for his family.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 12:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest next to his grandparents at David's Cemetery. To view a livestream of Ron's service, please click here.
