Rochester - Passed away on October 8, 2023 at the age of 50. He was born in Rochester, NY on September 7th, 1973. He was the youngest of six sons raised by Shirley A. Rotmans and Ronald H. Lockwood Sr. Ronnie spent the majority of his life as a resident of Greece, NY where he purchased his first home and started his own business, R.H. Lockwood Construction. Ronnie loved what he did and thrived at it until tragically he was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left him with back and neck injuries which took away his ability to work. Ron loved his Family and Friends so dearly and when he came to visit one of us you could hear him coming from a mile away riding in on his bike that he loved so much. Ron was at his happiest when he was riding his bike. He always said that when he was riding it was like his pain and worries went away if only for that moment.
On October 8th, Ron passed away. It has left us all heartbroken and confused. It pains us all that we will never see that infectious smile again or feel his enormously strong embrace. His smile, followed by a chuckle, could convince anyone that the earth was truly flat. Now, sadly, we all must carry the pain of losing him for the rest of our lives. In his own unique way he was able to touch each and every one us. He had the ability to touch your heart and truly make you feel special. He was such a blessing to have in our lives but also a lesson never to forget. I know we will all treasure the good times we shared with Ron with the hopes that, in time, they will shadow the pain of losing him. God may have called Ronnie home but his memory will live forever in our hearts. We pray now that Ron is taking his bike on a rip on streets of gold for all eternity.
Predeceased by his Father, Ronald H. Lockwood Sr.
Survived by his Mother, Shirley A. Rotmans, Step-Father Mike Rotmans, Step-Mother Judy Lockwood.
Brothers; Scott (Mariechen) Lockwood, Mike (Beth) Lockwood, Randy (Missy) Lockwood, Donald (Dawn) Lockwood, Chris (Natalie) Lockwood
Girlfriend and Caregiver Kirsten Johnson (Thank you so much for your patience and kindness, your love got him through some difficult times and words cannot express our gratitude) and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Family will receive friends 4 - 7pm Friday, October 20, 2023. There will be a large party planned for the spring, open to all friends and family to celebrate Ron's life. Thank you all for your understanding and for reaching out to us during this tough time.
