Ronald Logan Obituary

Ronald Lee ""Ronnie"" Logan, 72, of Cole Camp, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his home in Cole Camp. He was born on November 23, 1952, in Sedalia, Missouri, a son of Ryland and Wanda (Rothenberger) Logan.

Ronnie was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Springfork. He attended South Side School for two years before going to Cole Camp School. While in school, he worked on the farm, was a member of FFA, played basketball and was one heck of a baseball pitcher. After his graduation in 1970, Ronnie pitched for a slow-pitch softball team during the summers.

On June 8, 1973, in Cole Camp, he was united in marriage to LaDonna Bormann. This union was blessed with the gift of two children, Brent and Natalie.

Ronnie moved to Lee's Summit and worked for Kreisel Construction. He moved back to Cole Camp in 1978, where he worked for Oral Schnackenberg doing heating, plumbing, and electrical work. In March of 1988, he went to work for the Cole Camp R-1 School District as a custodian and then moving up to maintenance and was also a bus driver. He was known for cooking pork for school dinners, weddings, and every occasion in between. He retired from school maintenance in 2012; and in 2021, he turned over his bus keys so he could spend more time raising bees, fishing, and playing cards.

He was always willing to help when and where he was needed, serving on the Cole Camp Rural Fire Department and Cole Camp Fair Board, helping build the Cole Camp Swimming Pool, and many other projects. He was an exhausted rooster and past president of the Cole Camp Jaycee's. Being involved in the community didn't go unnoticed, as Ronnie was voted into the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1984 by his fellow Jaycee's. In his spare time, he loved to fish, especially teaching his grandkids "the joy of fishing". Many fish were caught! Which made for many good meals.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Logan of the home; son, Brent Logan and Karissa of Sedalia; daughter, Natalie Paxson and Marvin of Cole Camp; brothers, Gale Logan and Shirley of Cole Camp, Marvin Logan and Kay of Sedalia, and Jeff Logan and Sharon of Sedalia; grandchildren, Ethan, Madison, Anna, and Lilly; mother-in-law, JoAnn Bormann; and brother-in-law, Burton Bormann.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ryland and Wanda Logan, grandson, William Tyler Paxson, and father-in-law, Delbert "Shorty" Bormann.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cole Camp with Pastor Stephen Zeller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery near Cole Camp. Pallbearers will be Dale Logan, Cody Clemons, Kendrick Logan, Ethan Veit, Ethan Paxson, Darin Harms, and Gary Viets.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Cole Camp R-1 Lunch Fund for Children, Cole Camp Swimming Pool, or Cole Camp Rural Fire Department in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfuneralhomecolecampmo.com.
