Ronald L. Mapel, 61. Of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Arbors at Fairmont. He was born in Fairmont on May 18, 1953 a son of the late Robert Mapel and Marjorie Bennett Mapel Adkins. He was last employed at Aegis as a customer service representative. Prior to that he was employed at the Fairmont Box Shop, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Par Mar. Ronald was very talented at using and repairing computers, which consumed much of his spare time. He is survived by a brother, Timothy W. Maple and his wife Judy of Buckhannon; a sister, Kathy Triantifilou Morrison and her husband Johnny of Mineral Wells; a sister-in-law, Susan Maple of Fairmont; two nieces, Christine Triantifilou Cinalli and her husband Nicky and Tammy King and three nephews, Joshua Mapel and his wife Andrea, Kevin Janke, and Timmy Maple and his wife Christina. He is also survived by his step father, Ray Adkins and three aunts, Mary Lou Duda and her husband Louis, Mary Ellen Bennett and Mary Jane Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Maple, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Chris Triantifilou and two uncles, Don Bennett and Eugene Bennett. Friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Friday March 20, 2015 from 10 am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm on Friday with Minister Stanley Jenkins officiating. Interment services will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
