Ronald Grant Massengale, 74, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Ron was born on April 22, 1949 in McDonald, TN, to Ray and Katherine Massengale. He graduated from Tyner High School in 1967 and started his career working in a number of factories and then worked in maintenance at Allied Bendix for many years.
On February 26, 1983, Ron married the love of his life, Jewell, and devoted 40 years of his life faithfully loving, serving and caring for her. In 1992, Ron and Jewell moved from Cleveland, Tennessee to Murfreesboro, Tennessee taking a job in maintenance at Nissan where he worked for 25 years.
Ron was a hard-working and devoted person known for his selflessness and servant-hearted nature. He had a remarkable gift for woodworking and building things. He also possessed a unique talent for being able to fix just about anything.
In his free time, Ron enjoyed various hobbies, including golf, bowling, jigsaw puzzles, wood working, riding motorcycles, and listening to music (especially Elvis Presley). However, the greatest joy came from spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly.
Ron is survived by daughter Tonya Randolph (Holli), son Russell Massengale (Jennifer), daughter Melissa Massengale, daughter Michelle Starry (David), son Travis Massengale (Lisa), grandchildren Dillon Roberts, Ashley Graham (Ben), Macy Newell (Marcus), Jacob Starry, Hallie Caupp (Noah), Matthew Massengale, Marcus Massengale, Aayden Starry, A'aryion Starry, and great-grandchildren Greyson Newell and Henley Graham as well as his brothers James Massengale (Marsha), Kenneth Massengale (Nellie), and Ray Massengale Jr. (Sheila).
Ron is preceded in death by his wife Jewell Massengale, father Ray Massengale, mother Katherine Massengale, brother Bobby Ray Massengale, and step daughter Donna Bandy.
The service for Ronald Massengale will be held on Friday, November 17th at 1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home. Visitation: 12:00-1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home. Burial: Grasshopper Church of God Cemetery, 6509 Grasshopper Rd, Birchwood, Tennessee
