Ronald Mastrantonio, 85, of New Creek, WV, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV.
Born on June 15, 1940 in Youngstown, OH, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Ambrose) Mastrantonio. He also was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Jr., Lou, Ray and Jim; three sisters, Connie, Josephine and Frances and special neighbors, Charles and Wilma Fout.
Ronald served in the United States Army. He worked at the Potomac Lumber Mill when it started in Shaw, WV and then moved to New Creek when construction on the Bloomington dam began. He then left the saw mill and went to work at Wolf Furniture in Keyser, later to become Heilig-Meyers. When the store closed down, he went to work for Sisler Lumber and then on to Kessel Lumber.
Ronald enjoyed working with wood and created many beautiful vases and bowls. He was a very loving and giving person by supporting the Disabled American Veterans and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Surviving is his wife of nearly 66 years, Judy (Miller) Mastrantonio; several nephews and nieces, among them special nephews, George Gasper and wife Nancy and Gary Sites and wife Debbie and special nieces, Debbie DePillo and husband Duane and Judith Sites and special neighbors and friends, Nathan and Olive Thompson.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Goldizen officiating.
Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
