SFC Ronald William Maury, (RET), of Hope Mills, North Carolina, passed away on February 11, 2026 at the age of 82.
He was born in West Virginia on November 26, 1943 to the late William Fredrick Maury and Mary Kirkpatrick.
Ronald served in the United States Army for 24 years, serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm, and was a member of VFW 670 and American Legion Post 32. He earned the following awards: Army Service Ribbon; Army Lapel Button; National Defense Service Medal w-1st Bronze Star; Air Force Longevity Service Award; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm; Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w-60 Device; and Army Good Conduct Medal Award. He deeply loved the United States, and his fellow veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Maury, of the home; son Adam Maury of Hope Mills; sister Sharon Bator (Emery) of Colorado; and grand grandson Mitchell Thomlinson.
A service to Celebrate Ronald’s life will be held 12:00 noon -3:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2026 at VFW Post 670, 3928 Doc Bennett Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
