Ronald "Ron" Lee Maute, 84, of Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Harleysville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Abington–Lansdale Hospital.

Ronald was the devoted husband of the late Marion Louise (Cortiglia) Maute, with whom he shared 41 loving years of marriage. Born in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Samuel F. Maute and Elizabeth (Walker) Maute.

Throughout his life, Ronald was a hardworking and dedicated employee. He later served in the Environmental Services Department at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville until his retirement in 2001.

Ronald was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick, where he formerly sang in the church choir. A proud patriot, he enjoyed cooking, reading the Bible, coloring, and doing word searches in his leisure time.

He will be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted, and hardworking man with a good sense of humor who deeply loved his family.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Teresa M. Maute-Carr, and her husband, Zachary, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and his beloved grandson, David W. Carr, also of Quakertown.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ronald was preceded in death by his six siblings: Harvey Maute, William Maute, George Maute, Hannah Goffice, Mary Shaner, and Joseph Maute.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Inurnment will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road, Limerick, PA 19468 (https://www.stjameslimerick.org/).
