Ronald J. McCloskey
Ronald J. McCloskey, 68, of Frackville, passed away on Wednesday, October 30th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Frank and Alice Dougert McCloskey.
Ron was a 1974 graduate of North Schuylkill High School and also attended North Vo-Tech where he learned the trade of sheet metal fabrication. He was employed at various manufacturing and shipping plants in Frackville.
He was a skilled tradesman from building decks to making homemade Halloween costumes for his children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman. Some of his other hobbies included taxidermy and seashell art. He also coached his children in many of their sports as they grew up.
Ronald played bass guitar for "Mercy Sakes" band and enjoyed the music of the 60s and 70s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Stosh McCloskey and a nephew, Danny McCloskey.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy (Cicioni) McCloskey, Frackville; his twin daughters: Angela Huben and her husband Mike, Frackville; Amanda Zulkowski and her husband Tom, Fountain Springs; his son, Brandon McCloskey of Huntingdon; his four grandchildren: Brock, Brett, Kolt and Zane; his great-granddaughter, Wren; also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 4th at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 49 N. Line Street Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow mass.
