Ronald W. Mitchell

Ronald W. Mitchell, 61, of Brook Apts., Utica, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2012. Ron was born on July 13, 1950, the son of Robert and Edna Mitchell of Oriskany. Ron attended and graduated from Oriskany Central Schools. He was an avid Yankee and Raiders fan. He is survived by his mother, Edna Mitchell of Whitesboro; one brother, Neil and wife Marilyn of Hawaii; three sisters, Debbie Wentz, Betty Schieble and husband Jim, and Sherry A. Smith and husband Eric, all of Oriskany; nieces, Amy Stockfish and husband Kenny of TN, Jennifer Hodges and husband Michael of WI, Vanessa Mitchell of NV, and Cassie Smith of Utica; nephews, Kevin Schieble of NC, and Joshua Wentz of Boonville; great-nieces, Mykhla, Audrey, and Juliea of NC; great-nephew, Mason James Hodges of WI; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Robert W. Mitchell. The family would like to thank Faxton-St. Luke's Dialysis Center for the wonderful care given to him. The funeral will be on Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro. Calling hours will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
