Ronald Jack Morse passed away at the age of 90 on July 19, 2025. He was the beloved father of Michael and Tracy (Hughes). In addition to his children, Ron is survived by his daughter-in-law Kay Sickles, son-in-law Paul Hughes, and grandchildren Jacob Morse, Harper Morse, and Ryan Hughes. Ron is also survived by his brothers Barry William Morse and Bruce Michael Morse. He was predeceased by his father Murray Morse and Lillian Weiner Morse.
Ron grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Northeast High School in 1953. He later attended Temple University, earning a degree in accounting in 1959. Ron went on to become a Certified Public Accountant working at Touche Ross and then at William E. Howe & Company. He was a C.P.A for over 40 years.
Ron loved Philadelphia sports, but most especially baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies. He also enjoyed art, movies, reading, and attending theatre productions in Philadelphia with his beloved friend Fran McInerney. He treasured time with his family above all else. He attended as many of his children’s high school sporting events as possible, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, often picking them up from school when they were little.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s, 6410 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19126. Shiva will be observed on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the home of Michael Morse and Kay Sickles.
Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
