Ronald J. Mulray, age 59, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly at home on September 20, 2025.

Ron will be remembered by his family and friends not just for his kindness, generosity and one of a kind personality, but for his inspiration, his creativity and his unparalleled talent. Ron discovered his passion for floral design in high school which lead to his life-long career choice. He founded Philadelphia Flower Co. In 1987. His work was never just a business to him – it was artistry at its best. He took pride in each and every one of his creations, possessing a vision that only he had.

Ron was a well-known member of the American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD) at both the regional and national level. For decades he assisted in coordinating award-winning floral exhibits at Floral Shows around the country. He helped to establish the AIFD Education Partner Floral Design program at Bucks County Community College in 2017. As an instructor of many classes, he impacted the lives of hundreds of students. He was the creator and driving force of the annual Art That Blooms student exhibition shows, as well as working tirelessly with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to bring the Bucks Floral Design Program to the Philadelphia Flower Show. Additionally, Ron also proudly served on a variety of boards including the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Philadelphia Flower Show Executive Committee.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Michael (Kathy), Vincent (Carrie), and Christopher and his sister Sharon Carty (James). Ron was predeceased by his parents Michael and Nina Mulray, and his sister Roxan Lewis. He was a devoted uncle to his 3 nieces, 6 nephews, 6 grand nieces and 9 grand nephews who he loved dearly. Ron has been reunited with his faithful companions, "The Girls", Sadie and Sophia.

Met Ron checking out there beautiful flowers with Fiancé at time back in 2005 range at Phila Flower Conpany, was such a welcoming warm friendly kind person that always had smile on his face. Needless to say 10 years later we still went back to the welcoming environment he presented. Such kind good hearted person that will dearly be missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace we will miss your smiling face
