Karl Wicher

Karl L. Wicher, lifelong resident of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, with his family by his side.

To say Karl loved to keep busy is an understatement! He spent his career working as a Driver Salesman for 7-Up, which later became Canada Dry. After his retirement, Karl focused more on his church involvement. As a devout Catholic, he was a familiar face seen around St. Dominic Parish at daily Mass, assisting as a Eucharistic Minister, Usher or weekly Offertory collections. But his greatest joy in life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally.

Karl was predeceased by his dear wife, Jean R. (nee Poli) in 1996, as well as his beloved wife, Bernadette T. (nee Costello) in 2023. He was also predeceased by his son, Karl Wicher, his daughter Debra Ann Wicher; and his siblings, Gloria McCosker, Helen Skubish and Joe Wicher.

Loving father of Steven Wicher; cherished Pop-Pop of Tammy (TJ) Wagner, Karl Wicher, Peter Diamanti, Candance Diamanti, Steven Wicher and Mary-Jean Wicher; and doting great Pop-Pop of Sean, Jordyn, Reagan and Owen. Karl is also survived by his stepchildren; Bill (Pat) Gallagher, Joe (Mare) Gallagher, Bernadette (Tom) Liddell, Jimmy (Jill) Gallagher and Shannon Gallagher; sister-in-law, Judy Tronco; daughter-in-law, Liz Wicher; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karl's name made to St Dominic Church, 8405 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136 would be preferred.
