Obituary of Michael Joseph Wicher
SCOTIA –
Michael Joseph Wicher, 51, of Scotia, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2023.
Michael was born in Niskayuna to John and Sheila (Coty) Wicher on November 11, 1971.
He lived all his life in Scotia, and graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1990. Michael held various jobs throughout his lifetime, starting at Glendale Nursing Home and retiring from Walmart due to disability a few years ago.
He was a member of the APA Pool League and also volunteered on staff at the Harley Rendezvous both for several years. He loved his trips to the local county fairs, going fishing, and trips to the casinos with family and friends. He especially loved time spent with his niece Lily who always brightened his days.
Mike is survived by his parents of Scotia, his brother Daniel Wicher and niece Lily, of Ballston Spa, an aunt, uncle, and several cousins also survive.
Michael was taken way too soon and will be missed by many.
We would like to give special thanks to the West Glenville Fire Department for all their help over the last few years.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family to be held at a later date.
