Scott was a 2005 graduate from Williamsport High School, where he was a 4 year member of the Wildcat football team. Upon graduation, he was sworn into the United States Marine Corps. His MOS was 3521, Automotive Maintenance Technician and transitioned to 3529, Motor Transport Maintenance Chief. He proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in 2014 with the rank of SSGT. He served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Carrying Response with the Marine Expeditionary Unit in Burma and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, earning many medals, awards and commendations.
Upon discharge from the Marine Corps, he was employed by the Penske Corporation. After leaving that position, he was blessed to be able to stay home with his children for a year, served as a mentor for Sacred Mountain Retreat Center in Deadwood, SD and finally discovered his passion as the Lead Barn Assistant and Veteran Coordinator for the Star's, Stripes and Heroes Program at Star Therapeutic Equestrian Center.
In his "spare time", Scott was pursuing his Bachelor's degree with Liberty University. He loved to play hockey, spend time outdoors, travel with his family, camp, smoke cigars, drink whiskey and, most of all, ride his Harley. Scott, better known as Scrappy in the MC community, was a proud brother of the Leathernecks Nation MC Peleliu Chapter and served as their Vice President.
Scott brought joy to everyone in his life. His smile could light up a room, and his laughter was contagious. He never knew a stranger and was quick to greet with a hug, firm handshake and a dazzling grin.
Scott and Sarah shared the most epic of love stories. At 13, they knew they were each other's beginning and end. Their love will last forever, long past the end of earthly existence, through cherished memories and through the love they passed on to their greatest joys, Addie and Jameson.
