Ronald Thomas Murphy

"Murph"

August 31, 1933- May 13, 2025

Ronald Thomas Murphy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 31, 1933, Ronald lived a full and vibrant life, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In 1956, Ronald married Patricia Young, the love of his life. Their enduring bond was a testament to their devotion, and they shared countless adventures together, from traveling, to exploring local markets like the Berlin Auction and Columbus Mart to simply enjoying each other's company. Their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Ronald survived by his brother Joseph Murphy. He was a devoted father to his three children, Ronald (Terri) Murphy, Mary Jane (Phillip) Carrozza, and Steven Murphy, whom he loved deeply. His family expanded to include eight grandchildren: Michael Carrozza, Carman Carrozza, Nicole Simpkins, Danielle Murphy, Heather Palmer, Crystal Battista, and Joseph Murphy. He was predeceased by his cherished grandson, Philip Carrozza. Ronald's joy multiplied further with the arrival of his eleven great-grandchildren: Dominick, RJ, Skylar, Jeffrey, Matteo, Karli, Matthew, Noelle, Julie, Avery, and Francesca. He treasured each moment spent with his family.

Ronald served in the US Army from June 16, 1953, to May 24, 1955. Known for his rambunctious spirit, he brought a unique energy to his service, always keeping things interesting.

For most of his life, Ronald worked as a skilled guilder. Beyond his profession, he was an avid gardener, known for his "secret garden" he created at his home in Magnolia. His artistic talents, engaging storytelling and his witty and sarcastic sense of humor brought laughter to those around him.

Ronald will be remembered as an all-around great person who loved his family above all else. His warmth, humor, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday May 16th from 11AM-12PM at Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home 712 N White Horse Pike Stratford, NJ. Service at 12PM, followed by a burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Berlin, NJ.
