Ronald Vere Ogren, 57, Trego, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Ron was born on October 10, 1968, in Shell Lake, WI to Rodney and Sheila (Casler) Ogren. He graduated from Spooner High School in 1986. Ron worked for his dad in the logging industry before working at Tri State Land and Lumber in Trego. Ron married Cathy Kreger on February 28, 1998. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, classic cars and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife Cathy of Trego; children Keith (Renee) Kreger, Weatherford, TX, Scott (Danielle) Kreger, Winterhaven, FL, Heather (Justin) Metheny, Springbrook, WI, and Douglas Ogren, Trego, WI; 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; mother, Shela Ogren; sisters Bonnie (Mike) Arpan, and Kathy (Jesse) Melton; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Spooner Funeral Home, 306 Rusk St. Spooner, WI. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
