Ronald Gene Osterhout

Ronald Gene Osterhout passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Bay Village, Ohio. He was 79 years old. Ron is survived by his wife Stephanie L. Osterhout (nee Miller); children Lori Siler, Jason Osterhout (Tammy), Josh Osterhout (Dr. Megan Oltmann); Ethan Osterhout (Ashlie). He was grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 2. He also leaves behind his brother Sonny Osterhout (Peg) and mother-in-law Pam Miller.

He is preceded in death by his parents Morley and Alice Osterhout; grandson Spencer Osterhout; his siblings Mary Lou Garbers, Carol Osterhout, Particia Cox, Max Osterhout; and son-in-law Greg Siler. He is also preceded in death by his best friends Remington and Sasha.

Ron was born on April 22, 1946, in Wauseon, Ohio. He grew up in Wauseon and Delta, Ohio with his five siblings. He went to Wauseon High school. Ron served in Vietnam and was a part of 101rst Airborne. He met Stephanie at the Fulton County Health Center while they both worked night shift. They married on December 4, 1991 in Las Vegas. Ron and Stephanie raised their family in Wauseon, Ohio.

Ron was a proud semi-truck driver and the last company he worked for was PGT Trucking. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, drag racing and spending time with his family. Ron was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 7424 and American Legion Post 265 both in Wauseon, Ohio. Ron's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.

All services for Ron will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor St., Delta, Ohio 43515. The visitation will be at 11:00 am with a funeral service at noon. Christian Burial to follow at Raker Cemetery, 3930 Fulton County Rd. 6-1, Delta, Ohio 43515.
