Ronald David Ownley Sr

Ronald David Ownley, age 64, of Elizabeth City, NC, was born February 28, 1961, to Joyce Bateman Ownley and the late David Wesley Ownley, and passed away November 10, 2025. He was a hard-working man but more importantly, a God-fearing man, and an amazing son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Sherry Underwood Ownley, and his mother, he is survived by his son, Ronald Ownley, Jr., and his daughter, Amanda White (Eric); three grandchildren – granddaughter Kaylee White and grandsons Colton and Carson Ownley; his sisters, Rita Ownley Jennings, Brenda Ownley, and Diane Ownley; his brother, Wade Ownley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Ownley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Fountain of Life Church, 1107 US-17, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, with the Rev. Stuart Meads officiating.
