Kenneth Delano Grier

Kenneth Delano Grier, age 73, of Moyock, NC, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was born in Norfolk, VA, on February 6, 1952, to the late Thomas Leonard Grier and Marjorie Ann Gray Grier. Kenneth was the husband of Aileen Rose Johnson Grier. He was an avid motorcyclist and a proud MOPAR enthusiast, known for his love of the open road and classic cars. A devoted animal lover, he shared a deep compassion for all creatures, great and small. He generously gave his time to others, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and later with Virginia Beach EMS, where at the age of 60 he pursued his passion for helping people. A lifelong supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees, he approached life with the same dedication and spirit he brought to supporting his favorite teams.
In addition to his wife, Aileen, he is survived by his daughter, Lindsey M. Glenn (William) of Norfolk, VA; son, Kenneth D. Grier, Jr. (Stacey) of Loudoun County, VA; sister, Mary E. Riggs (Lawrence) of Southern Shores, NC; brothers, Lindwood T. Grier (Linda) of Fredericksburg, VA and Gerald D. Grier (Teresa) of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Leighton, and Reese; uncle, Eurith D. Grier (Donna); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Twiford Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain Carl Witten officiating. A reception will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. at Proof AKA Paradiso Roma Ristorante, 35 Camden Causeway, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
