It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald "Ron" Kenneth Park, who died peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 82.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Ron experienced the early loss of his father in Europe during World War II. At age 20, he met the love of his life at a 4th of July party; they married two years and a day later and shared 60 wonderful years together. Shortly after his 21st birthday, Ron was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War, completing his service at Fort Hood, Texas.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine; his sons, Ron Jr. (Shian Chiou) and Doug; and his brother, Boyd. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry; his stepfather, Joe; his mother, Betty; and his brothers, Wayne and Vaughn. His wonderful sense of humor and joyful nature will be deeply missed by his many friends and neighbors.
A visitation hour will be held at Prevatt Funeral Home on February 21st at 2:00 PM, a date that would have marked his 83rd birthday.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in his memory.
