Ronald I Payne passed away on December 8th, 2022, in Austin, TX.   A celebration of his life is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at the Casino Hall in La Grange, TX.   Ron was born on August 25th, 1943 in Cullman, Alabama to Hullet and Velma Payne.  He graduated from Fairview High School in 1961 and he joined the United States Air Force in June 1962, where he served for four years.  He married the love of his life, Charlsie Huddleston on October 20th, 1962.  They have two daughters.   Ronald enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, and time with his friends and family.  Unlike most people, he also really enjoyed his work.  He was often fond of saying, "If you have a job that you love, you never work a day in your life."   He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.   He is survived by his beautiful bride of 60 years, Charlsie Payne, daughters Kelly and Ronniesa, grandchildren Kaitlyne Seiver, Hayden Payne and Gavin Payne Duphily. and sisters in law Betty Payne and June Huddleston, and many nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Hullet and Velma Payne, his brothers Edward and Kenneth Payne, his mother and father-in-lawer in law Charlie and Agnes Huddleston, his brother-in-law Jerry Huddleston, sister in law Frances Payne, sister in law Miriam Jones, and son in law Clark Seiver.
