Ronald E. Pichette, 72, of Southington, CT, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at HOCC at New Britain after a brief battle with cancer.

Ron was born on September 2, 1952 in Waterbury, CT to the late Rosaire “Curly” and Doris (Harrison) Pichette and was a lifelong Southington resident. 

He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1970. After graduation, he was drafted and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Ron worked at SPDI in Southington for 35 years, retiring in 2019. Ron was a loving husband, father and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne (Armstrong) Pichette and son, Dustin Pichette of Southington. He was predeceased by his loving daughter, Samantha Pichette. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Penny Pichette of Riverside, CA, brother-in-law, Marcel Duprey of Southington, sister-in-law, Lynne Armstrong of Concord, NH, brother-in-law, Arthur Armstrong and his partner Loretta Rolfe of Southington and sister-in-law, Patricia Tartaglino and her husband Martin of Torrington.

In addition to his daughter Samantha and his parents, Rosaire “Curly” and Doris, he was predeceased by his twin brother, David Pichette, two brothers Richard and Donald Pichette, sister, Nancy Duprey, father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Marion Armstrong, and three brothers-in-law, Stephen, Paul and James Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to Southington Community Services (https://www.southington.org/departments/community_services) Southington Bread for Life (https://southingtonbreadforlife.org/) or to a local charity of the donor’s choice.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 12 – 3 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry St., Plantsville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
