Ronald William Plessner, 72, of Chicago's Northwest Side, peacefully passed away July 13, 2024. Ronald is remembered for his generous spirit and altruistic demeanor. He was a skilled carpenter and was always happy to help anyone in need. Ronald fought a long and arduous battle with cancer but he never gave up. He remained courageous and positive throughout his difficult journey. It's been a long and strenuous road but he can now rest in peace.
Ronald is survived by his loving children Lisa (Jim) Wojtko, William (Erika) Plessner and Traci Plessner; grandchildren, Jessica (Junior), Nathaniel, Mikayla and Kyle ; three great-grandchildren; dear siblings Doris (Karl) Dinse, Norbert (Rosemary) Plessner and Lynn (Tim) Haffey; nephews Michael, Steve, Jeff and Dave, Great Uncle to Charlie and many more friends and family. Steve Trifilio, a high school classmate who became a devoted friend to Ronald, stuck by his side during the ups and many downs of his illness. Ronald will be truly missed by his dog Sadie (aka Chicken Nugget).
Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved son Kevin Plessner, brother Ralph Plessner and parents William and Margaret Plessner.
A private gathering will be planned in the near future for immediate family.
