Elaine Ruth Plessner

Elaine Ruth Plessner, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully January 3rd, 2026, in Bulverde, Texas. Born December 11, 1934, in Camino, California, she was the daughter of the late William and Inez (Pawson) Allison.

As a child, Elaine traveled throughout the country with her family as acrobatic and trapeze, circus performers, an extraordinary experience that shaped her adventurous spirit and lifelong love of people. The family later returned to Wyoming, Elaine's maternal family home, where she attended Sheridan High School.

Elaine married Joseph "Joe" Plessner, a United States Navy Seabee, in 1964. Their family was stationed at several military bases over the years until Joe's retirement; afterwards, they settled in Cody, Wyoming where Elaine enjoyed her family, friends and numerous interests, especially fishing and camping. Elaine and Joe later moved to Keller, Texas, where she was actively involved with her grandchildren and the Keller Senior Center, forming many lasting friendships. Elaine and Joe shared a full and happy 56 years until his passing in 2021, after which she relocated to Boerne, Texas, living with her daughter and son-in-law.

Elaine was a devoted wife and mother, and former caregiver to the elderly, widely known for her kindness, generosity and compassionate heart. She loved people, and many loved her in return. Full of joy and fun, Elaine was the happiest when surrounded by her beloved family.

She is survived by her three children: Arthur Michaelis and his wife Rosie, Richard Michaelis and his wife Michelle, and Kimberly (Plessner) Koskay and her husband Kenneth; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Plessner, her parents, and her siblings: William "Billy" Allison, Agnes (Allison) Tingle, Arthur "Joe" Allison, Karen Allison, Robert Troy and Jim Troy.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 27th, at 1:00PM, at Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home, 1265 Main Street, Boerne, Texas 78006. Elaine will rest with her cherished husband, Joe, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
