FARMINGDALE, MAINE
Ronald T. Plourd, age 70, died Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Maine Medial Cetner, Portland, following a brief illness. He was born in Gardiner, ME on April 13, 1954, a son of the late Joseph R. and Carmeline M. (Marceau) Plourd.
Mr. Plourd was a graduate of Cony High School.
After serving in the Armed Services (Air Force) his work career consisted of being employed by: State of Maine, Statler Tissue, The Edwards Dam and as a school bus driver for the Augusta School system and retired from MSAD 11.
Mr. Plourd was pre-deceased by his son, Steven Plourd.
He is survived by two sisters: Donna L. McCurdy of Sidney and Tammy J. Manduca of Augusta; a brother, Bruce M. Plourd (wife Dana Yannelli) of Sidney; two grandchildren: Samantha and Paul Plourd, Niece: Kailyn Manduca (her sons: Logan, Liam, Lennon Pelkey of Augusta) Nephews: Connor and Ian McCurdy of Sidney, as well as extended family.
At his request, there will be no public visiting or funeral services. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In remembrance of Ron, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
