Ronald Glen Prince passed away early Sunday morning November 30, 2025 at his home in
Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 83 with his wife by his side. He had bravely fought complications from several surgeries over the last few months. Ron was born on April 21, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised on a ranch in Marysvale, Utah by his parents, Glen and Edna Prince. After graduating from Marysvale High School in 1960, he attended the College of Southern Utah for one year. He then served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Great Lakes Mission.
After his mission, he attended Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, where he met his bride-to-be, Diana Christine Taylor. They were married on August 21, 1964 in the Manti Utah Temple. They started their lives together in
Cincinnati, Ohio, but then moved to Marysvale, Utah to help his parents on the ranch. It was in Marysvale, where they were blessed with a son, Shane Allen Prince in 1967. In 1969, they moved back to
Cincinnati, Ohio where they established their home. In 1970, they were blessed with a baby girl, Rhonda Christine Prince.
Ron supported his family for over 35 years as a successful Allstate Insurance Agent where he had many satisfied customers. He was active in his church and served in many callings including the High Council, Bishopric, and as a Sunday School President.
Ron loved fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and just being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Pennsylvania where they have a summer home. Ron also liked working in the yard, gardening, and being a handyman at home. Anytime his son Shane had projects like building a deck or trimming trees, he volunteered to do it with him. He never shied away from work. Ron loved the many dogs he and Diane had during their sixty-one years of marriage, including, most recently, two Great Danes and two Poodles.
Ron had many outstanding qualities. He was gentle, kind, giving, helpful, patient, soft-spoken, and forgiving. He had eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Edna Prince, daughter Rhonda (Chris) Prince-Smith. He is survived by his wife, Diana Taylor Prince; Children: Shane (Maura) Prince, Grandchildren: Jessica (Paul) Erskine, Mikayla (Timothy) Partlow, Tanner (Ellie) Prince, Hunter Prince, Savannah Prince, Jared Prince, Hunter Smith, and Olivia Smith; Great Grandchildren: William Erskine, Julia Erskine, Iris Partlow, Adelaide Partlow, and Kenai Partlow.
