Ronald P. Rafford

CARIBOU - Ronald Paul Rafford, 84, died Friday, October 28, 2022 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Monticello, June 17, 1938 the son of Bernard and Reta (Swim) Rafford. Ronald attended the Caribou Schools, and was a Caribou High School graduate. He worked for over 25 years for the Woodland Transportation Department. He enjoyed the outdoors; especially walking in the woods, hunting, and camping. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ronald also enjoyed going out to eat,and watching old westerns on television.

Ronald was predeceased by his wife, Jenny (Everett) Rafford, and by a daughter, Melissa Rafford. He is survived by two children, Wallace Everett of Woodland, and Susan Hanson and husband Erik of Caribou, four siblings, Winfield and Bernard Rafford Jr., both of Caribou, Marcia Sloan and husband Dave, of Mapleton, and Martha Cleaves and husband Gary of Tennessee, grandchildren, Melinda Lagasse and husband Frank, and Jennifer Morrow and husband James, great-grandchildren, Braden and Cullen Lagasse, Zayn Pelletier and Lucy Morrow, a special sister-in-law, Sue Smart, brother-in-law, George Everett and wife Carol.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
