Ronald J. Reiner, age 89, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at Westbridge Assisted Living in Wheaton. Born on March 11, 1935, in South Bend, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Emmerich and Florence Reiner.
Ronald lived in Clarendon Hills, IL, for 52 years, where he worked as the Marketing Manager at Conn Piano and Organ. Later, he continued his career in sales at Hendrick's Piano until his retirement in 2000. A dedicated member of Holy Trinity Parish in Westmont, IL, Ron was deeply committed to his faith and community.
Ron will be especially remembered for being a caring, loving husband and father. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served his country with honor and distinction.
He is survived by his four daughters: Renee Reiner, Rochelle Favale, Rebecca Neal, and Rhonda Gilkey; his four grandchildren: Gwyneth Gilkey, Austin Gilkey, Thomas Favale III, and Nicholas Favale; as well as his brother Richard Reiner and sister Lorraine Ryan.
Ron was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann (Callaway) Reiner (1933-2015).
Services for Ron will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to the Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society.
