LACONIA ---- Ronald "Ron" L. Richard, 63, died unexpectedly Monday, September 15, 2025, while he was out enjoying his favorite pastime, motorcycling.

Born January 2, 1962, in Lancaster, NH. He was the son of Leo and Yvonne (LeClaire) Richard.

Ron grew up in Groveton and graduated from Groveton High School in 1980. Following graduation, he moved and attended NHTI in Concord, NH, and received his associates in Mechanical Engineering.

Following graduation Ron moved to the Laconia area where he was employed as a mechanical engineer, first for Phoenix Machine, and then at NH Ball Bearing where he worked until he retired as an Associate General Manager.

He was a source of strength and kindness for others and was always eager to connect with new people and hear their stories.

Motorcycling was always Ron's number one passion. He had a track bike, street bikes and dirt bikes and enjoyed the ride no matter the terrain. He also enjoyed skiing from an early age as he basically grew up skiing on the slopes of the Balsams, in Dixville Notch. He also enjoyed cars, music, and camping.

Family members include his wife, Mary Richard, a brother Glen Richard, sister-in-law Andrea Audette, two nephews Alex Richard and Nolan (Kelly) Richard, and a great-nephew, Allen Richard.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
