Ronald H. "Ronnie" Ripperda, age 76, of Frogtown, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 12, 1949, in Breese, the son of the late Lawrence and Hilda (nee Ratermann) Ripperda. Ronnie married Mary Isaak on May 24, 1975, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, and she survives in Frogtown.

In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Ronnie is survived by his children, Amy Ripperda of Fairview Heights and Kris (Kelly) Ripperda of Frogtown; grandchildren, Kinsley and Kalin Ripperda; brother, Jim Ripperda of Frogtown; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike Isaak and Nancy (Ed) Huelsmann, all of Breese; nephews and nieces, Ryan (Mary) Huelsmann and Adam (Leah) Huelsmann; and great-nephews and great-nieces, Matthew Huelsmann, Ellie Huelsmann, and Emmy Huelsmann.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Roger Ripperda; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Olivia "Dolly" (nee Lappe) Isaak.

Ronnie was a lifelong farmer and worked as a mechanic at Deien Chevrolet in Trenton for over forty years before retiring. Even after retirement, he continued his passion for mechanical work at home. He was a dedicated member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.

Ronnie was happiest when working, something he considered a hobby. He also enjoyed gardening, bike rides with Mary, and collecting Allis Chalmers and John Deere toy tractors. Above all, Ronnie treasured his time with family and especially loved being "Grandpa" to Kinsley and Kalin.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. James Nall presiding. Interment will follow at St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.
