Ronald Roberts Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 10, 2024.
Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Roberts age 77 passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer on 09/04/2024. Ronnie was grateful for life and his family and stayed strong until the end.
Ronnie dedicated his life to service, serving in the US Army Reserve for 6 years where he was a medical corpsman. Ronnie then spent 28 years as a Baltimore City Police Officer followed by 10 years with the Baltimore County Sheriff's Office before retiring in 2014. Ronnie was one of the founding members of the Baltimore City Police Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team and was an advocate for therapy for first responders and military struggling with the difficulties of their professions.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia, daughter Debbie (Jerry) Most, son David (Carmen) Roberts, and four grandchildren: Lindsay and Mitchell Most and Rachel and Natalie Roberts.
Ronnie was an avid "gearhead" and loved all things cars. He built model cars since childhood and has a collection of hundreds of models; his work was featured in several national publications. He never missed a car show nor missed seeing a hot rod or classic car out on the road and could identify all of them with a quick glance. Ronnie was a huge race fan and enjoyed car racing. His love of IndyCar is legendary, and he would talk about racing or cars at any time.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Ronnie's wishes at 1 PM on October 5, 2024, at a private residence. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Ronnie's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the IndyCar ministry.
