Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Combs, 71 of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday night, September 7, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born October 12, 1953, in Surry County, the only boy of three children to the late Carlie Colen Combs and Dorsie Elizabeth Easter Combs. Ronnie was raised as a Southern Baptist boy. Ronnie always had a special way and love with animals. He retired from Sara Lee Hosiery (Adams Millis) after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement he helped his sister Teresa at her 89 Produce and Grocery for several years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Jenny Ruth Tyner Combs of the home; sister, Cheryl Meadows; sisters-in-law, Wanda Richardson and Rebecca Jessup; many nieces and nephews; and several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Combs was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Edwards. Graveside services will be held Wednesday afternoon September 10, 2025, at 2:00pm at Skyline Memory Gardens with Pastor Scott Coleson officiating. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Forsyth County Hospice, Mount Airy Dialysis, and to Dr. Siedler and his team for all the love, care, and support given to Ronnie and Jenny during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Attn: Gift Processing at National Kidney Foundation HQ, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Combs family.
