Ronald Joseph Rowbatham peacefully passed away on Saturday November 2, 2024, age 83. Beloved husband of the late Gayle Sonderberg Rowbatham. Father of Bridget Rowbatham Bergens (Bryan) and Dr. Gregory Paul Rowbatham. Son of the late Capt. Charles and Vera Rowbatham, Sr.. Brother of Patsy Johnson, the late Charles Rowbatham, Jr. and the late Capt. Kim Rowbatham.
Ronnie was born in New Orleans, LA on March 13, 1941, and lived most of his life there until moving to Hendersonville, TN September 2005 after losing the family home to hurricane Katrina. He was a fan of big band music and was especially partial to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Those lucky enough to have known him will surely miss his presence in their lives. He will be remembered for his kind generous heart, loving nature, sense of humor, unconditional love and dedication to his family and friends. His most important legacy is the family he leaves behind. He was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in New Orleans in January 2025. Details will be shared.
In lieu of Flowers, please donate in Ronnie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org. This charity was always dear to his heart.
To end every conversation dad would say "See you later Alligator" and we would respond "After while crocodile". Dad until we see you again in a while. Love you always and forever.
