Ronald Lee Rowe, a life long resident of Boonsboro, MD, was born October 21, 1939, and was the only child of Dorothy (Baker) and Austin Rowe. Surrounded by family, Ron passed away at home on December 14, 2025.
Upon graduating from Boonsboro High School with the class of 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving with the CID unit stationed at Fort G. Meade. Completing his military obligation, he continued his education at HJC, Shepherd College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree, and Hood College where he completed his Master's Degree. He also attained numerous certifications with several State of Maryland Departments, retiring after 41 years of service. After retiring, spending time with his grandchildren and traveling were most enjoyed. Ron was a life member of the Potomac Fish and Game Club and member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce; son, Zane (Sheila) Rowe; daughter, Desiree (Steve) Peperak; and his beloved grandchildren, Mac, Bay, Sawyer, Cory, and Casey. He is also survived by several cousins.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Private burial services will be held at the Manor Cemetery, Boonsboro, MD, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Suite 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
