Ronald Eugene Saunders, a deeply cherished soul, departed this earthly realm on July 15, 2025 in Glen Rose, TX leaving behind a life richly woven with love, devotion and service. Born on March 3, 1952 in the heart of Decatur, TX, Ron's journey was grounded in a deep appreciation for God, family, community and music.
A proud graduate of Decatur High School in 1970, Ron went to further his education with an Associates degree from Tarrant County Community College. His professional life flourished at DSM Nutrition where he dedicated 44 years of his life - ultimately serving as plant manager. Ron began leading music at age 9 at Bell Baptist Church in Decatur, TX and continued to lead music for the next 64 years at various churches, revivals and community activities. His dedication to work was paralleled only by his devotion to God and his loved ones: those who filled his life with joy and laughter.
Ron drew friends and family close with his warm spirit and friendliness. He relished every moment spent with those he loved. His love for Christ guided his relationship and love for his wife of 47 years, Annette Shaunfield Saunders and his family.

Ron is survived by his siblings: Gordon & wife Joyce Ann Saunders, Marvin & wife Berdessa Saunders, Becky & husband Andy Harrison and his children: Laura Saunders, Alicia & husband Todd Green, Brian Saunders, Rachael & husband Jeff Keller, Joseph & wife Madison Saunders.
