Ronald Schmidt Obituary
Born on November 6, 1942 in Port Pleasant, WV, Ron was the son of the late Melvin and Thelma (Groshon) Schmidt.
Ron was the proud owner of R.M. Schmidt Heating and Air, which he continues to operate until his passing. He was president of the riding club for many years which was a proud accomplishment of his. Ron enjoyed poker games with his friends and was an avid storyteller. He was also a member of the Piney Branch Golf Course where he spent many days. Overall, Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Schmidt; children, Michael Sean Schmidt and wife, Jamie, and Stacy Schmidt; grandchildren, Sophie Brow and husband, Patrick, Eliza Schmidt, and Grafton Schmidt; great grandchildren, Michael Shepherd Brow and Frances Kate Brow; and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will be opening their home on Saturday, January 24, 2026 to close friends and loved ones who wish to stop by, remember, and spend time together.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Maryland Lupus Foundation, 7400 York Rd Ste 308 Towson, MD 21204.

Debbie and family, so sorry for your loss, Ron was a great man, I waited on Ron almost every Monday thru Thursday for lunch at the Elks before Covid, it was a pleasure to know him.

I remember a story he told at the Christmas party I think he was a medic in the army how he had to talk some little girl and to getting her temperature taken I forget why we were talking about that day but the way he told it to me he seemed like a very compassionate person

Ron and I worked together many years at different companies. His knowledge helped guide me through my career in HVAC. May God Bless Him and his family.
