During the decades I have known you, there are many memories that come to mind, a few which are as follows: Our very first dinner meeting when I was dating Mark. A few years later, watching you dance when you were wearing a aircast brace at our wedding reception. The look on your face when meeting Morgan for the first time after he was born. Wearing goofy hats for Morgan instead of your usual baseball cap and listening to him tell you the benefits of pranking others with a whoopee cushion. The look on your face when meeting Brian for the first time after he was born. Showing Brian the different ways to use a Batman cape.
Listening to you explain to the boys why you wanted to be called Far Far. Watching you give rides to the boys on the riding lawn mower. Your description to me about gravlax. Our conversations about differences between synods in the Lutheran church. Your retelling the old story about the disastrous demonstration of a new tape product that still ended up in a successful sale. Our very last telephone conversation.
Your ex daughter-in-law,
Crystal

Dear Ron: My friend for 70 years. Its is with heavy heart I write this. Who would think 12 and 13 year old boys would meet fishing down at the lake and find they have similar backgrounds with parents coming from Sweden. We have have many good times together fishing the Chicago lagoons, the casting club ,fishing and hunting Illinois , Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Its been aa fun 70 years. I will be thinking of you and the boys when the final taps are heard on Friday as you make the final journey home. With loving memories your friend Dave and Karin.

Dear Ron: My best friend for 70 years. I write with a heavy heart. We have had such good times over the years. I have so many memories of our travels from 12 and 13 year old boys with similar backgrounds of Swedish parents meeting down at the lake fishing. It lasted 70 years. From fishing bass in the lagoons to the casting club and fishing and hunting in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. It has been a fun time for us and now you make your final journey home. I will be thinking of you and your boys on Friday when the final taps are heard for you. I hope we can meet again. With loving memories your friend Dave and Karin also.
