Ronald Senna Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Service & Crematory - Greenville on Jan. 23, 2025.
Ronald Joseph Senna went Home to be with His Lord and Saviour on January 11, 2025.
He was born on June 27, 1960 to Joseph Wesley Senna, Jr. and Edith Salter Senna, in Manchester, CT. Ronald attended school in Manchester until 1978 when he joined the US Army. He did basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and then AIT (11 Bravo) at Fort Benning, GA. Upon graduation Ron went directly into the National Guard, and later the US Army Reserves. He furthered his education with machinist training through Hamilton Standard in CT, and at Spartanburg Tech in SC.
Ronald married Lorelei Stauffer in 1980, and they had two children. Ron worked for various employers including Manchester Memorial Hospital, and Warren's of Stafford before relocating to the Carolinas. He was at the Goodyear plant in Spartanburg for many years before moving to NC, where he worked for Grady White Boats, and then Pitt County Memorial Hospital, from which he retired in 2021.
Ronald loved his family, gardening, fishing, and singing in his church's choir. He was an avid collector of railroad and Civil War memorabilia. Ron especially enjoyed taking road trips to visit with family in various parts of the US.
Ronald is survived by two sisters: Barbara Anne Oliveira and Mary Anne Senna, both of Manchester, CT; his wife Lorelei and son Wesley Ronald Senna of Greenville, NC; his daughter Eleanor Senna Lukasiewicz (Johnny) and his two granddaughters, Ruth and Eliza Lukasiewicz of Chicago, IL, who gave him tremendous joy. He also is survived by several cousins around the US.
Private services will be held at a later date.
