Ronald Lee Senters, 86, of Herrin, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Integrity Healthcare in Marion, IL.
Ron retired from Maytag in Herrin after 27 years of working on the assembly lines.
Ron was born February 10, 1939 in Lawrence County, Illinois to Ellis & Helen (Baker) Senters.
Ron grew up in Lawrenceville, IL and attended the local schools. He served in the Illinois National Guard for 6 years.
Ron married Carolyn Boatman on September 9, 1960 in Benton, IL.
Ron is survived by his wife, Carolyn Senters of Herrin; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi & Bryan McPherson of Benton, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Danny & Bernice Senters of Crossville, TN; sister, Gloria Senters of Normal, IL; sisters-in-law, Kaye Senters of Frost Proof, FL and Nancy Senters of Decatur, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie Senters and Terry Groves; parents; brothers, David Senters and Rick Senters.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Greg Gibbs officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin, IL. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 8430 W BRYN MAWR Ave, Ste 800, Chicago, IL 60631-3497; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
