Ronald Lee Smith, 66 of San Tan Valley, AZ was called to his heavenly home on September 26 th, 2025. Ron was born on January 12 th, 1959, to parents Russell R (Dick) and Maribel M Smith and raised in Leeds Sioux City, IA. He then lived in California for a while and finally over the last 30+ years has made Arizona his home.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Lea L Dunbar; son, Jeffrey S Smith; two stepdaughters, Tonya (Jeff) Kloosterman and Noel C Moreni; grandchildren Dusty, Brody, Rylee and Kenzie; two brothers Russell (Donna) Smith and Scott (Marlene) Smith; sister-in-law, Heather Randol; aunt Connie Kouris; uncle Gary (Fran) Pence; nephews Joshua (Amy) Smith, Wesley (Kate) Smith, and Brandon Randol, nieces Austi (Brandon) Gomez ,and Cheyanne Randol, along with many other relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey (Chuck) Smith.

A 'Celebration of Life' service will be held at Heritage Lutheran Church 421 E Ray Rd Gilbert, AZ 85926 on November 8 th, 2025, at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may made to any cancer or liver disease foundation of your choosing or Heritage Lutheran Church (designating it for people in need).

The Smith family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ron's care team from Infinity Hospice Care of AZ for their exceptional care and support.
