Ronald "Ron" G. Smuck, 58, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2024. Born August 20, 1965, in Rockford, to his parents, Ronald G. Smuck Sr. and Dorothy (Hagie) Smuck.
Ron graduated from Stillman Valley High School and received an associate degree from Rock Valley College in aerospace. Ron served in the United States Military and was Honorably discharged after 2 years. Ron married his true love, Jill (Vorndran) Smuck on January 17, 2020. Ron worked many years building machines and doing machine repairs.
Ron greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He also loved to watch Nascar, look at flowers, study wolves, and even collect native American artwork. He will be dearly missed by so many.
Survived by his wife, Jill Smuck; mother, Dorothy Smuck; children, Jessie and Aaron Smuck. Preceded in death by his father, Ronald G. Smuck Sr.; sisters, Dawn and Robin; and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with crematory loves park – Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL 61111, at 11:00 AM. A memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
