A Visitation for Ronald D. Snyder, age 91, of Fairmont, MN, will be held 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A private family burial with military honors will be held at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont. Ronald passed away on January 21, 2026, at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, IA. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ronald Dwayne Snyder was born on December 24, 1934, to Earl and Minnie (Abel) Snyder in Rolling Green Township, Martin County, MN. He graduated from Welcome High School. Ron enlisted in the United States Army on May 13, 1957, and was honorably discharged on May 12, 1963. He served in Germany where he was a Sharpshooter with submachine and carbine guns and received the Good Conduct Medal.

On August 28, 1983, Ron was united in marriage to Rita Marie Godfredson in Fairmont, MN. Ron worked as a superintendent for Hodgman's in Fairmont for many years. Rita passed away on December 24, 1996.

Later in life, Ron met Amanda Berhow and they made their home together in Fairmont. Ron was a member of the Interlaken Golf Course in Fairmont where he enjoyed getting in many rounds of golf. He enjoyed living on the lake and riding around on his pontoon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his special friend, Amanda Berhow of Fairmont; honorary children, Rod Berhow of Breckinridge, MN, Renee (Berhow) Hebenstreit of Arnold, MO, Karla (Berhow) Weisbrod of Granada, MN, Kyle Berhow of Fairmont, MN and Michael Berhow of Oldsmar, FL; several honorary grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Kevin Koenck, Kris Checco (Koenck), Terry Koenck, Shawn Snyder, Jennifer Snyder and Mike Snyder; and five grand-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Minnie Snyder; wife, Rita Snyder; three siblings, Dennis (Mary Beth) Snyder, Judy (Dick) Loomis and Larry (Karen) Snyder; nephew, Barry Snyder; honorary son, Matthew Lyle Weisbrod; honorary grandson, Ethan Lyle Weisbrod; and honorary great-grandson, Lawson Roger Harris.
