Ronald Spurlock

Troy "Ronnie" Ronald Spurlock, age 68 of Middletown, OH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was born on December 20, 1955 to the late Troy and Mary (Shinkle) Spurlock and graduated from Valley View High School, class of 1973. Ronnie was a painter, but his real passion was music. He could play multiple instruments but he adored the keys, and was often called magic fingers, or Ronco. He was a long time member of the band Inside Out, he had an amazing voice and loved to perform, so much that he spent many late nights practicing and perfecting his talent. Ronnie was a selfless and humble man, everyone that knew him loved him. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brother in laws, Harold Melampy and Ben Tinch, and his nephew Brian Melampy. Ronnie is survived by his daughter Maryann (Robert) Burdette, two very loved grandchildren Lillian and Rose Burdette, his sisters Sue Melampy, Karen (Steve) Ritchie, Elaine Tinch, brother Douglas Spurlock, nephew Joshua Ritchie and family, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 12-1pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 1pm with his step son Billy Sargent officiating.
