Ronald Arthur "Roony" Stalnaker

Ronald Arthur Stalnaker "Roony" age 56 died on November 1, 2024 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center of Chesapeake, Virginia. He was the son of Delbert K. Stalnaker and Barbara Stalnaker, whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter Jasmine Christina Stalnaker and his son Isiah Kenneth Stalnaker; his grandchildren, Amauri Stalnaker, Vala Jones, and August Scott of Warner Robins, Ga; his uncle, Robert Cobb and wife Tamara Cobb of Norfolk, Va; cousins Denise Hilliard, Colby Falls, Kasie Sharper (Jermaine), Randall Cobb, and Colin Hilliard; friends Tony Jefferson (Bonita), Miguel Dixon (Regina) and John Oviatt (Joyce). He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Theresa Cobb; aunt Jackie Cook; uncles Richard Cobb and James Cobb.
He was born in North Carolina and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. He attended Indian River High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 1987. He retired from the US Army National Guard in 2008. He served two tours in Iraq and honorably served our country. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed sporting events and golfing. He will truly be missed and forever remembered. May you rest in peace, Roony.
A service in his honor will be held at 3pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
