Ronald J. Steffes, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on April 9, 1934, Ron’s life was marked by dedication, love for his family, and significant contributions to his community.
A veteran who served in the Army, Ron also made a lasting impact through his involvement with the Greendale Lions Club, where he held the position of Past President. This role was just one of the many ways he demonstrated his commitment to serving others and making a difference in the lives of those around him.
Ron shared a remarkable 69 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol Steffes. Together they raised a family that blossomed with love and connection. He is survived by his son Brian (Lynn) Steffes, along with grandchildren Justin, Matthew (Brandi), Heather, Aaron, Ryan (Emilee), Ted, and Jill (Brent), who will fondly remember their grandfather's wisdom and kindness. Ron also cherished his eight great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy in his later years.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Robert (Elaine) Steffes and Richard (Kaye) Steffes. He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Meyer, whose memory remains a treasure to those who knew her.
The family extends their gratitude to the amazing aides and nurses from VITAS Hospice and Clifden Court, whose compassionate care touched the lives of Ron and his family during his final days.
Visitation and memorial services for Ronald J. Steffes will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel in Greenfield, Wisconsin. The visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated in Ron's name to a charity of your choice.
Ron’s legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply.
